Kids and Youth

Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Youth in Church
We believe that part of teaching our youth about Jesus and his Word means including them in Sunday morning corporate worship. So at Redeemer you’ll see youth involved in various aspects of our worship service and you’ll also likely hear little ones throughout the service. We love this! We do have a small play room in the back of the sanctuary with toys and snacks for kiddos. There are also coloring pages and crayons available in the foyer to help keep little hands busy throughout the service. If your little one gets too antsy, you’re welcome to stand up and hold them or take them outside for a breath of fresh air; feel free to rejoin the service at any time.

1st and 3rd Sundays
On the first and third Sunday of each month children 4-8 years old are invited to go across the street to the community center during the sermon time. A group of adults will lead them across the street and teach a Bible story, pray with the kids, and do an activity. This is completely optional, parents are free to have their kids stay in the main service.

Wednesdays (7pm-9pm) – Youth Leadership
Youth Leadership is a midweek discipleship ministry for middle school and high school students. The goal of Youth Leadership is to encourage students in their faith, equip them to study the Bible, pray for one another, show them how to share the gospel and make disciples. This ministry partners with Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp and students are given the opportunity to apply to serve at camp for several weeks during the summer.

Camps and Retreats
There are several Youth Leadership retreats throughout the school year at Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp. These retreats are usually Friday-Saturday although occasionally they are longer.

During July there are week-long camps for specific age groups at Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp. The camps are broken into age groups: 7-8 years old, 9-10 years old, 11-12 years old, and teen camp. These are amazing opportunities for kids to learn the Bible, make friends, have fun and worship the Lord Jesus.

Many of the youth who attend Youth Leadership actually work at the camp during the summer.
